I was born in Ossining, New York, and spent my formative years in Boulder, Colorado. While I have 25 years of classical ballet training and still love the Arts, I graduated from the University of Colorado with a BS in marketing and, six years later, an MBA, simply because I wanted to have a longer-term career. For the past 12 years I have worked full time for a large corporation managing the development of their websites and the marketing of their brand online.
I have no training in any other forms of art, and even did poorly in my 9th grade art class. That said I love sculpting. My pieces reflect a lifetime goal of imperfect perfection. It’s therapeutic, so to speak, to try to walk away while parts of them are yet unfinished. The conundrum is that I occasionally return to each piece to touch it up. Thank goodness paper clay is forgiving.
I have a husband, three teenage daughters, a beagle and a black cat. And despite the fact that I’m not a dog person, I love them all.
I wipe my tools on my clothes, and would love to see Paris. Dawn is my favorite time of day, and fall is my favorite time of year. I think I’m that simple, though some would disagree.
Enjoy!
